*10 is in deep thought.
If I ever get out of here, I'll never be able to lead a normal life with this fire coming out of my palms... Then again the fame...

I know I live in the United St-. States is it? Yea.

"It doesn't really matter too much, but I really wish I had something remarkable like you guys. But enough talk, let's play!"

Eight nodded curtly. "Let's see what we got."

Three sorted out the chips and looked at his cards.

"Raise to 5." He said, throwing in a red.

"raise to 10" as 1 tosses a red chip in the center.

*10 watches, not very interested.

...I wish I could tell them that I have dirt in my stomach....tell them of my plans of our escape...GAH! ...this is too much...

"So Ten, do you want to do something? You don't appear to like cards either...I don't know what to do, but you may?"

Three silently puts in another red, slightly frowning.

1 grins and tosses in another red chip.

"...Just imagining things... thinking..." 10 said while staring at the ceiling.
...I need to wait for the others to try and escape... maybe I can learn from their mistakes.
" I was going to just take another nap, but if you want to do something, that's good. "

"Yo seven, deal the river please." Three said, putting in a blue (10).

"I don't know...I mean...I should probably take it easy since I had a heart attack and all...so I can't run....but I also don't know any card games soooo..."
9 trails off

" I only know Rummy. " 10 sighed.

"Fuck, we're playing Baccarat now." Three said, laying down his cards. He had a king and a seven... which gave him a seven...

9 sighs

"Man...I wish I could run and the treadmill...oh well...I do everywake, what's not doing it again going to hurt?"

...no...I've not been on the treadmill in three wakes...I need to keep up my fitness...

"Bah, forget it..."

9 goes to the treadmill starts walking instead of running

...dang it...why do I feel slower...

"Oh well, I only have these." 1 puts down a 5 and a 7.

"You have a 2. You lose." Three said.

"So were you tested as well?"

"Oh well, I was never good at this game. Oh and all I got was a shot and was sent out."

"I got a shot." Three said.

"8 to be precise."

6 sat at the table, sighing. He could hear what everyone was talking about, but he couldn't see anything. How was he supposed to do things? He had to have someone help him. Maybe he could try taking the blinders off? He dismissed the idea. If he was supposed to have them on then he should keep them on. But what if something happened? Things had been a lot stranger lately...

"Hey 9," he whispered so no one could hear him, "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure"
9 says seemingly without interest
...in all reality, he was very interested

6 wet his lips as he prepared to ask his question. Then he leaned closer towards 9.

"I have a weird feeling about all of this," he started in a quiet voice. "Based on what's happened so far, something bad might happen. When, and if that time comes, I need you to take these blinders off of me somehow." He finished and waited for 9's response. If his friends were in danger he could use his "heat vision" to help out. It melted that slab of steel didn't it?

"I don't think we should go against the voice's wishes, whatever he has planned for us would be for the best....I'm sure what's happening now has it's reason. Don't worry, he'll take care of us as he always has."

9 pats 6's hand

9 feels like crying on the inside...unable to achnowledge 6...tell him that he understands and agrees...

I need to get out of here. Three said, getting up from the finished game at the table and pacing around. He would bolt when the opportunity came. After all, he was in the position to do so. All the guards in the building couldn't stop him. All the traps... well, that's a different story.

6 twitched. Then he sighed.

"Maybe you're right..." he mumbled. He'd just have to get someone else to help him.
