Life in the Pits

Three realized he had wasted his time procrastinating with the others. He hadn't thought of a single escape route. There was definitely a way out of the rec room, like a door or an elevator or a vent. He was sure he could find it if he tried, but knew it would be difficult to open. Very difficult.

He walked into his room and washed off, changing into the most durable set of clothing he could make out. He figured they were all the same, but what the heck. Laying down, he tried to sleep, but couldn't. He was listening in on whatever happened in the night, all while pretending to sleep. This would be a long night.

Eight put the cards back into a neat stack and waved good night to her friends. She went into her room, showered, and did the usual routine of cleaning up and everything. She however paused to look at her skin in the mirror and noticed that she was practically invisible. She smiled and put on her clothes, then went to bed.

Four just wanders in her room;

9 leads 6 and 5 to their rooms and he them goes to his room, showers, and pretends to sleep, waiting for the perfect moment to initiate his carefully sculpted plan

Five went back into her room, showered, changed into a clean pair of clothes and then flopped down on her bed, where she looked up at the ceiling, unable to sleep. "I'm not tired..I don't want to be locked away from everyone else..I wonder if Nine will get me out of here.."

9 lays in bed, motionless...listening...and thinking...

...I'll get us out of here...yes...but now is the time to wait...and soon, it will be the time to act.

9 gets up and tiptoes to the door and tries the handle...and it's open...

he quietly uses his power to force the dirt from his stomach up, without any stomach material...and makes the dirt form a hard mold around his right arm...

...he quickly and quietly sneaks to 6's room and opens the door stealthfully, and leaving it open a crack, so it can't lock...

he goes to 6 and wakes him up as quietly and quickly as possible

6 groans quietly and tries to roll over in an attempt to fall back asleep but to no avail. He turns on his side and flails his arm around until he hits something; or rather, someone.

"What the...?"

"Six, get up. Now. We're leaving."

9 Swipes the card over 6's glasses (causing them to disable or whatever Best says)

Yeah, they'd beep and pop off.

Before 6 could react, his glasses popped off and he could see again. It was dark so his eyes needed a moment to adjust, but then he could see 9 standing in front of him. Then he looked at the glasses on the floor.

"How did you... Wait, we're getting out of here? For real?" he asked hurriedly, trying to keep his voice down. Were they really leaving?

"Come on."
9 whispers

He sneaks to the door
"...wake everyone up, be quiet though...and make sure you leave each door partially open as you do so, so they don't lock.....I have a plan."

6 nodded in understanding. He was relieved that he was able to see again, but he pushed that aside and went to his task. He tiptoed into 3's room, leaving the door open slightly as 9 had instructed. Then he carefully made his way to 3's bed and whispered his name.

"3... Hey 3. You awake?"

9 procceeds to 5's room and tries to wake her up as well, leaving the door partially open
"Five, wake up sweetie, it's time to go"

"Yeah." Three said, staring up at six and getting out of bed.

"Good to know you can see again... I take it we're leaving?" He asked, making sure he wasn't dreaming.

6 nodded, excited that they finally be out of this...he didn't even know what to call it anymore. Things had become too weird, and he didn't want to stick around to find out what would happen later on.

"Ok, go and wake everyone up but be quiet about it," 6 started. "Oh, and keep the doors open slightly so they don't close and lock on us."

"Copy." Three said, sneaking out of his room, leaving the door open and opening 8's door.

"Eight. You awake?" He whispered, standing over the bed.

(LOL I COMPLETELY FORGOT XD)

6 exited 3's room and made his way to 4's room. He crept up to the bed and shook her gently.

"4, wake up. We're getting out of here."

Five looked at the door and then smiled when she saw Nine coming in. Hopping out of bed, she said quietly. "I was wondering when you were going to come in. If anyone knows a way to get us out of here it's definitely you!"

Eight ruffled up the sheets and went out of bed, staring at Three. "What the--yes, I'm awake. Now. What's happening?" she asked. She went out of bed, standing on the cold floor. Eight thought about the others. Were they up as well? She thought as much.

"We're leaving. Wake up the others and leave the doors slightly open so they don't lock." Three said.

"And if you're wondering, no. Not my idea."

9 wants to smile, but in such a situation, it'd be out of place
"Alright, come on...be careful, and stay close"

9 exits 5's room and wakes everyone else up in the same way he had been doing

Five nodded and tried to be quiet as they made their way out of the room. She hoped it would be the last time she had to go into that room. Looking at Nine, she said in a whisper. "The Voice said that there was a secret passage here in the Rec room that they use, but we need a thing called a keycard to open the elevator at the end."
