Three felt like he was in the matrix... wait, what was the matrix?

He spun to the left, dodging the first bullet before jumping to roll and finally doing a perfect recovery and dashing to cover behind a chair, avoiding every bullet by a large margin. After the clip was empty, three stood up. Turns out there was a shot left. Three leaned backwards, hearing it whiz by his head. As soon as he got up, he dusted off and faked a smile.

"Thank you." He said, making haste to walk out the door into the room.

"Hey guys." Three said. "Anything weird happen to you?"

Eight's head jolted to face Three. "A lot of things. Do tell about yourself. These three already know about me. I don't think it'd be nice to explain a few times more again." She laughed with what she could manage. There was no way she could let her friends know that she was absolutely terrified.

"Well, you could say that I'm bulletproof." Three replied, hoping the others were not part of the test and wouldn't start shooting at him.

"So what's wrong with you?" He added.
"By wrong I mean unusual."

"Well, here's what." After a minute, she had explained how the last two days were. "I take it we've all been... diagnosed with some strange capabilities."

...I wonder if these abilities will wear off, or if we'll have them forever...

"...so...anybody want to play cards? I still don't know how to play obviously, but I could deal them probably..."

9 grabs a deck from another of the tables and awaits everyone's response

"Sure." Three said, sitting down.

"So where are the others?"

"I'm not sure, probably still in their rooms..."
9 says

"Wait, if you guys have unusual 'powers', so to speak, then what are they, and why do I have only a cold?" 1 said with a excited tone, but somewhat nervous.

9 shuffles the deck
"Oh...I can manipulate earth, but I might get a heart attack from it..."
He says, as if it's completely normal

1 sits at 9's table

"Ok 9, what about you guys. What did you people get?"

*10 had his head out ontop of his crossed arms on the other table. Listening to the conversation, he interjected.
" I can manipulate fire..." 10 stated, " I can get hypothermia though..." He added.

"Punch me. No, really, do it. A few times. I won't hit back, then you'll see." Three said.

"All right 3, here I come." as 1 rushes over and swings at 3.

Three oddly sat there and did nothing, until the fist was only about a centimeter away from his face, at which point, he felt time slow and moved (in the perspective of the others) at an inhumanly fast speed so dodge the blow.

"Yeah. Works with guns too, apparently." Three said as his body returned to normal movement speed.

9 more or less ignored this as he deals the cards
"Huh...that's interesting I suppose..."

...it's almost as though they want us to break out...but...wait...what if that is another test? To break out?! This is all too much....either way, I can't act like I don't care too much or else that in itself will seem suspicious...

"So, what's it like, moving that fast?"
9 continues dealing

" Heh. Don't get burned Three..." 10 said darkly, manipulating a ball of fire in his hands.

"Yeah. Burns aren't nice. Anyway, I don't know how to stimulate it yet. All I know that is from now on, every day I wake up there'll be a guy in a labcoat shooting at me." He said.

"What game are we playing anyway?"

9 raises an eyebrow at 10...
9 continues dealing

"Whatever game you want three..."

1 stumbles slightly," Woah, pretty nice 3, that could be pretty helpful in many cases, though I'm sad I don't have any 'power', I'm happy for you people."

9 finishes dealing
"Perhaps you do have a power and you don't know it? Maybe the voice has something special in mind for you."

...interesting question though...why DOESN'T he have a power?

1 sits down at the table,"So what are we playing?"

1 takes a tisue out of his pocket and blows his nose.

"All I know is that someone gave e a shot after the questions, and told me to go to the rec room. Oh well... maybe those are for my powers?"

"Who knows, and whatever game you guys want, I'm not playing"

"How about Texas Hold em?"

Three asked.

"Chips... That will be a problem..."

"I feel like a chamelion, because my skin can change color and blend in with my surroundings." Eight gave One a strange look. "I'm almost sure it'll be the same for you." She didn't voice it, but she was sure that the Voice made no exceptions.
