Mine Mind Meandering

i think one of my weirder daydreams from high school was the one where i got sucked up by the Gods of Chaos and taken to the year 40k, spent a few years fighting wars for Khorne and Nurgle, and ended up warping back to my school in the present day at the head of a bunch of Traitor Marines
and I turned one of my classmates into a Chaos Dreadnought.
somehow. for some reason.

the dark eldar and the chaos marine are my favorites, with the craftworld eldar and the ork following close behind

only seen one episode of Hacka Dolls thus far, and not ~too terribly impressed, but it's one 7-minute episode; gotta give it a shot at least

have to say though, the opening is in fact catchy:

so my last day of regular classes for the semester is wednesday, and that night there is a basketball game
i haven't really spent much time in town/keeping up with sports this year, so i kind of feel i should spend the night in-town to watch the game somewhere

that said, i kind of stopped caring all that much, i have no one to watch said game with, and drinking alone at a sports bar is really kind of dull...

Some of you may or may not have heard of this product line by the name of Neuro
it's a line of drinks that incorporate chemicals and nutrients that occur naturally in the body encourage the body to feel certain ways in as natural a fashion as possible

one of the most popular and well-received of these is neuro Sleep, which uses melatonin, l-theanine, and magnesium (among other things) to encourage drowsiness and deep sleep. I have read stories and talked to people who swear by this stuff; just a cap-full and they are out like a light for ~7-8 hours, if not more

thing is...it doesn't really work on me
i have, on several occasions, drunk an Entire Bottle of the stuff, to no effect

why do i bring this up?
I had a talk this evening with a psychology teacher at my university who specializes in clinical treatment, and this was one of the issues i brought up (aside from it being healthy, pros and cons of using it, etc)
and what he said to me was that I either
A) have phase-shifted my body to the point where it thinks it is earlier than it actually is, so it doesn't think it is time to sleep yet
OR
B) I have onset insomnia, which is a result of any number of factors (bright light stimulation, working too late, rumination, etc) that result in my not being able to fall asleep for long periods of time

Found out that this could also explain why I have such a bad time focusing on school work (or any work) on my off days: i am simply so burned out from staying up too late that i lack the mental energy and capacity to actually pull myself together and do things

all in all, lots of good info; i'll be posting some notes from his seminar in a bit

i realized recently that I don't actually have an answer to that anymore

for years i thought invisibility or mind reading would be fun; being invisible would essentially let me do as i please, and i have always been curious what people think about me
as the years have gone by, though, i have realized that i don't care enough about the thoughts of complete strangers anymore, and being invisible is not as fun as it sounds

so, i decided to go back over the list to see if anything really resonated.

eh, all in all, i think i did 'ok' on the first one, and felt really good about the second one (physics vs social psychology; go figure) and with those out of the way, i am done with classes for the semester, with the only things left for me to worry about are A) uploading all my running screenshots to get the participation points in my jogging course and B) exams, which are a literal week away

chikage- draws from all, but draws heavily from bloodtinge and skill
Kos parasite- arcane only. becomes an s-rank at a +2
ludwig's holy blade- strength, skill, and arcane (heaviest on arcane)
rakuyo- skill and arcane
simon's bowblade- skill, bloodtinge, and arcane, but very heavy on skill and bloodtinge
focus on two attributes
