Not too much later, another individual would be shoved in the room with the others in the same manner.

[Cue Colin entrance]

Michael walked into the room eyeing up the other inmates and with a calm even pace walked past everyone else to squat next to the dead man and flip him over to see if he had anything on him, then bending the body's pinkie all the way back with a few popping sounds to make sure that it is actually a corpse and not just a blacked out junky.

After his short item collection he'd just stand up and walk into his place in line.

The dust settles as the silence takes over once more.

Things have calmed down, and the other inmates seem to begin to relax. Or, about as close to relaxing as one can get in a situation like this. Not ten minutes in, and there was already a fight. Worse, someone was dead. The corpse of the nameless Indian man lay on the ground, nude, and left to lie in a pool of his own blood.

Nobody even knows what his voice sounds like.

But it doesn't matter now. Despite the calmness in the air, other feelings overwhelm it. Dread. Despair. And most of all, Fear. The other inmates were for the most part visibly unsettled, nervously standing around and waiting for something to happen. The elderly Korean man leans against the wall, rubbing his right leg. Arthritis? The muscular tattooed individual crosses his arms and closes his eyes, deep in thought. The only one seemingly unbothered by the entire thing was the portly hairy man. He leans against the wall and picks his nose, stonefaced. He stands next to the body without a care. Then, the muscular fellow uncrosses his arms and opens his eyes, looking at the others.

"Hey, don't you think it's strange that they just-"

He is cut off immediately by a room-shaking siren that blares over a hidden speaker. The sound wasn't deafening, but it was loud. Then, a ch-t-chunk noise rumbles from the giant door. A series of whirrs and whines come from the inside of the door and nearby walls, signalling the movement of large and powerful mechanisms unseen. Only a couple of moments later, a final prominent ch-chunk echoes from the door, and it begins to open, a cold breeze blows in from under it as it opens vertically.

Beyond the door, was the outside. Not just outside in a prison yard like most prisons have, but what looked like a city, cluttered with tall grey buildings not unlike a dense city like New York. Chunks of cement and debris cover the ground outside the door, with what looks like scorch marks on most of it. The streets were torn apart by unknown means, and while largely still intact they were missing chunks in dozens of places. Trash was strewn about in random places, and the buildings were just as damaged.

But that wasn't the main concern at hand...

A group of people stood just outside the door, about a dozen and a half people of varying ages and races stood with a number of weapons. Some held baseball bats, while others had things like rebar with chunks of cement on the end of them. And at least two of them had pistols. And oddly, they weren't dressed like inmates or officers. They wore normal clothing; t-shirts, jeans, light jackets, tanktops, and so on. Most of them looked like they were beat up, with scars and blood-stained clothing. They'd been in many fights.

They looked sinister, eyes full of bloodlust. They weren't here for anything but to kill.

"Fuck, get back! Behind me! I'll protect us!"

The tattooed guy shouts, quickly stepping forward and putting himself between most of the others and the attackers. A couple of the attackers laugh at the remark and one raises his gun, shooting the tattooed man in the shoulder. He reels in pain, holding the wound with his hand, and the rest of the attackers charge in. They swing mercilessly, attacking any who they can. The gunman who shot first holds back, while one of the baseball bat wielding attackers swings at the tattooed man.

One with a knife sprints up and stabs Michael, while the one with the rebar runs up and swings at Randall, and one with brass knuckles punches Darius in the gut. The others quickly follow suit after the other new inmates.

Darius coughs up a bit of blood as his stomach gets his by the cold, hard steel, the firm wall behind him meaning his body took all of the impact itself. He tries to take a breath, but nothing goes in. He grits his teeth. His previous years in prison didn't teach him nothing!

He swings his right arm freely, whipping it towards his attacker's head. The hard device on his arm collides with the attacker's skull, hopefully enough to at least knock him off of Darius.

(leaving space for convo)

Randall flinched as the siren started going off, but calmed himself by telling himself that at least something was finally happening. He turned around as the doors began to open, curious to see what his new 'home' would be like... and was mildly surprised when his eyes alighted on not a prison but a cityscape.
and a bunch of gangbangers.

when the tattooed man said he would protect them, it took all he had not to sigh and shake his head. you made that kind of statement when you were either well-armed or prepared to die. He wanted to take the time to help the man when he took a bullet, but he was occupied at the moment, as one of the men had his eyes set on him.

Randall started rolling forward slowly, keeping his eyes on the man. Right before he made his swing he accelerated, catching the man inside the man's projected swing, and grabbed his upper arm, stopping the swing before it could build momentum. This Randall did with his left hand, using the man's own momentum to draw him closer so that he could deliver a simultaneous palm-strike to the side of the punk's jaw. If he was lucky, this would drop the man, and Randall would have a weapon. If now... well, at least he was close enough to grapple now...

Michael was surprised by the cityscape before him, it was going to be starting from scratch again but he looked foreward to taking over this new city that reminded him of home. He also liked the moxy of this guy who was charging at him with a knife and might even be willing to hire him for grunt work if he wasn't about to be dead.

Michael would take the unexpected offensive taking a step forward just late enough so the kid couldn't be able to adjust in time and grabbing his opponent's wrist pushing it to the side while using his free hand to jab in and up into the punk's throat, with Michael's fingertips. Unfortunately punk was a bit stronger and faster than Michael expected and the knife cut his left side just under his ribcage, nothing to pull a punch for, though.

Darius strikes the attacker in the head with his CIGFED, making a solid thud sound. The attacker takes a step back, briefly recovering from the blow. Unfortunately however, it doesn't look like it hit with enough force to do any real damage, as he only smirks, and quickly lunges forward again to grab Darius by the collar of his jumpsuit about to pummel him to a pulp, winding back his brass knuckled fist.
____________________________________________________________________________

Randall lunges for the attacker, attempting to catch the attacker's arm to stop the attack. He is able to grab the attacker's arm, however the momentum of the attack causes the cement-tipped rebar to continue forward, striking Randall in the shoulder as it looses from the attacker's grip. The blunt force itself wasn't the worst part, but rather the jagged edge of the cement. It was painful and certainly bled, but the damage was largely superficial. The simultaneous palm-strike misses its intended target, but Randall still manages to give him a firm slap in the face.
____________________________________________________________________________

Michael is able to divert the attack for the most part, but still takes a bit of a graze around the chest region. His attack strikes the attacker in the throat successfully as the attacker missteps, stumbling over his own feet. In the process however, he unintentionally body slams Michael into the wall. The force wasn't particularly strong though, as it was more of a stumble than an attack. However, the attacker quickly makes good use of the situation and immediately follows up with a swift and powerful knee to Michael's unprotected balls.

The knock back was fine, nothing completely unexpected, the knee to the balls however hurt a lot. Pain was fortunately something he could use to get mad, "JODER!"

Michael capitalized on the current situation wrapping his own leg around the one pressed into his genitals so it at least wouldn't be able to pull back for another strike while still holding the knife out with his left hand, with Michael's Right arm he'd wrap it back up and around the enemy's head after that strike, firmly pressing his pointer and middle fingers into each of his attacker's eyes while pulling the attacker's head back with the palm of his hand (and unfortunately this position exposes Michael's right side) and rushing his head in and down to bite the attacker's throat, hoping to rip out his trachea.

Randall tanks the blow to the shoulder with gritted teeth and lets his right hand continue after the slap. He suddenly reverses its direction- with the man off-balance and his own lower center of gravity, Randall should be able to wrap his arm around his neck, bend him over backwards to put him in a chokehold similar to what he did earlier, and break his neck with a quick jerk.

He just hoped that the man was still too disoriented to see it coming...

Anne watched the chaos around her and for the first time in her life she felt true fear. And it was exciting. Reeling back from the violence and took the first chance she could go duck down, blend in, and sprint towards the right wall to leave. If anything she could duck into the first alley she saw and hide amongst the garbage. Anything is better than dying.

As if the gouging of the eyes wasn't bad enough, the man also has to deal with Michael biting his throat, which had already been injured in the previous attack. He lets out a reflexive 'Aaah!' when Michael does this, and immediately tries to jerk back and out of the hold. However, the bite causes more damage than originally thought, as Michael is able to tear into his neck a great deal, tearing out some of the skin, and causing very quick, very severe bleeding.

Then the man does something unexpected. He quickly twists and sweeps his legs sideways as much as he can to catch Michael's own legs, and in the process causing himself to fall to the side, his dead weight dragging Michael down with him. The man ends up falling on Michael's arm, causing strong pain to shoot up from it near the elbow. It's unknown as to whether it was broken, dislocated, or possibly fractured, but the pain and inability to move the arm or fingers effectively pointed to one of those possibilities.

The man headbutts Michael directly in the nose the moment Michael would lose his grip from the injury to his arm, breaking Michael's nose.

He certainly had a lot of fight in him, but it was clear he wasn't going to last much longer with the wound to the arteries in his neck.
______________________________________________________________________________

Unfortunately in Randall's case, the man was all too prepared for the counter attack as he steps back just out of reach, immediately following up with a kick to the upper chest, causing Randall to fall backward out of his wheelchair.
______________________________________________________________________________

The gunman in the back notices Anne and shoots at her as she runs out, but fortunately misses, although just barely. He doesn't pursue her, but instead just shrugs and turns back to the tattooed guy just in time to see him punch one of the others in the side of the head, shrugging off the bullet in his shoulder. This guy must be stronger than he thought, as the man that he struck was out cold in one hit. They lock eyes as the other gunman makes his way toward the back with Nanami and the elderly Korean man.

The tattooed guy begins a brisk jog toward the main gunman who is still staying outside of the Bulkhead in general. The gunman responds by smirking and casually lifting the pistol up, and firing a round into his gut, on his left side. The tattooed guy grimaces, and puts his left hand over the injury, bleeding almost immediately, only slowing briefly.

Hugging right, Anne would quickly find an alley on the right, not 20 feet outside of the Bulkhead. The alley seemed to go in a ways, and then curve left toward where she can assume the main street or another alley may lie. The alley has quite a bit of trash and debris scattered all about, as well as a number of old-style metal trashcans and large metal dumpsters, more than would normally be in such a location. It didn't look like the best of places to be, but it was certainly safer than being here.

One would think.

As much as Nanami appreciates Randall's initial defense of her, her first instinct when the armed brawling crowd arrives is to bolt. She watches as one of the other women takes up the same idea and scrambles to follow her path, stumbling as she goes.

Michael did not expect his foe to have so much fight in him, and the pain in his left arm was going to be a problem if he didn't set it soon, but the attempted headbutt struck him as a foolish act given their position. Michael used his already in place position to double down on his head push-back and eye gouging with his right hand, pushing the guy's head back and pressing a finger into each eye with even greater force seeing if he can open up that neck wound and get him to bleed out more by extending the guy's head back.

Michael takes advantage of the on the ground position and waiting on the bleed-out induced black-out that should occur in seconds at this point to look at the rest of the fighting going on and a possible route out. He doesn't like the options he has, but hiding under a corpse won't work against these freaks.
