okay, just found out something hilarious and kind of depressing

when i first joined a couple of years ago, i was signed up for a late-night class at my university. This was all well and good, except for the fact that my parking permit only worked for one area, which was well over a mile from campus, and the buses almost never ran in conjunction with when my class got out. thus, i almost always ended up walking back to my car, at about 8 o'clock at night

This year, because of my permit change, i found out that there are certain zones that are only restricted during regular class hours, from 7am to 5pm, and after that, as long as you have SOME permit, you can park there.

Today, I was walking by the hall where I took that late-night class years ago, and realized there was a sign next to it that just clicked something for me. I called up the parking department and asked them a question

It turns out that there was a lot next to the building that, after regular class hours, opened up for students with permits.
I Literally, could have parked less than a minute from my class. But no, I had no idea

I thought I lost my banana this morning on my walk to class

and then i found out that my jacket pocket was a lot deeper than i gave it credit for

debates telling my mother about things i learned in developmental psych, because i think they might be helpful in her business
decides not to because she wouldn't care/wouldn't believe me

Solution: Move in with us

That decision is somewhere between 'being strongly considered' and 'it's already halfway done'

Just about had a heart attack in chem lab, but it turned out okay


So, for our last day of class, we had a group lab report to turn in, and we had a poster to present. My group has always been a pack of slackers, but they said they had this one. The entire week, no one called me, emailed me, nothing, so i had no idea how things were going

I get to lab, and my instructor tells me that I need the lab report. I take this to mean that even though it was a group lab report, we each needed our own copy, or worse, needed to write our own report. Since today is the last day for it and I hadn't even started, I was prepared to lose all of the points.
Then, the two guys of my group show up, holding NOTHING
They said that the girl in our group had all the stuff, and was printing it off.

She starts having problems.
It gets to the point where all of the other groups are starting to present their stuff, and our board is still completely empty.
Finally, the second to last group is presenting, and she walks in the door. We Fucking Scramble to put everything up, and slap together a presentation pretty much on the fly.
Fucking nailed it

And right as we were tearing down and turning stuff in, my instructor says that he only needed the one lab report Per Group

So now, my afternoon is clear until 2:30, and I don't have to worry about Friday BullShit again this semester. Hell, I don't think I even have a final on a Friday
Time for some anime

So, in class this morning one of the windows was open, and I happened to notice that when i looked through the small portal of the cracked window the world outside seemed a lot...brighter. more vibrant, when compared to the now apparently dim vision provided by the glass

My question is: Is that a normal function of the glass itself, or is that an intentional move by the university building designers to make the outside world look slightly less interesting in order to reduce distractions and focus on the classroom?

...i am probably looking WAY too deep on this, but whatever

In a newspaper, there was an ad for a Yellow Sub deal that was only good for May 2nd

It is May 4th.

I checked- the newspaper was May 4th's

WTF?!?!

Newspaper guy, "Hey, if these guys are stupid enough to pay us for an add that is already invalid, that is their business and our profit."
