Realphobia

Arkwright City/Oki Family Compound

April 2, 2190

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isaiah 11:6:

---Timothy Sanders eyed the tux he wore with skepticism. He turned left, then right, loosened the bow tie, then tightened it. He wasn’t one for the formal either, no, he most certainly wasn’t, but, well, with Sam’s wedding just a few days away, not much he could do about it.
---He sighed and shook his head, Sam had never been the same after Regulus died, he became obsessed with cleaning his guns and training himself. Every time you entered his room, VERITAS and AEQUITAS sat in their special holster on his shelf gleaming like silver.
---Sam now widely now as ‘Oki’s Wraith’ was the most feared in the whole city. Sometime’s Sanders thought, he might have given Regulus a run for his money.
---Tim sat in a chair and brooded, Sam was gonna get married, and Skylar, his soon to be husband, was a pacifist, he didn’t like fighting, or guns, putting those two together seemed like putting fire with ice.
---He shook his head. “Well nothing to do now but wait and see.”
---He got up and changed out of the tuxedo and walk around to the back of the compound where Sam usually trained. An entire obstacle course had been set up for him there, he was there now.
---He moved like a jungle cat, sleek and powerful. He moved across balancing beams with feline grace and when he swung from the monkey bars it was like he was a monkey moving with easy speed. He jumped over beams and dodged obstacles, they struck out to try and hit him. He wore his specialty-made vest that held all his knives, and various blades that he used.
---As he ran the course he took out two of his blades and threw them at two targets, dummies, that were put in his path. They struck the target straight in the heart. He would run the whole course at least five times a day.
---Sanders shook his head and sat on a lawn chair and observed.
---Sam had turned out to be a fine man, he was tall and very well built, he had sleek muscles and and eyes that could chill a man with one look.
---Sam completed the course and went about the process of gathering up his blades to start the course over again.
---“He’s persistent as ever.” Came a voice from behind Tim. Tim turned to see Hinaoki standing behind him.
---He nodded. “Yup he most certainly is,” he got up and faced her, “you sure you want to let him marry Sky?”
---Oki nodded her head. “Yeah we’ll be ready for Bolvin when he uses Skylar to make his move.”

Arkwright City/Bolvin Family Compound

---Vincent sat watching Skylar try on his suit for the wedding.
---“Remember, Skylar, don’t forget to stick Sam with this.” He said holding up his hand showing him the little injector. “I don’t care how, or when, you can, even do it when your fucking, just make sure you inject him.”
---Skylar paled and deftly straightened his suit, “But s-sir! I... I...” He stammered.
---Bolvin sighed with impatience. “Either you inject him, or we kill him, simple as that. Make up your mind fruit cake.”
---Skylar lowered his head and took the injector giving it a withering glare. “Fine, but let him live.”
---Bolvin rolled his eyes. “Fine, fine, he’ll live doesn't matter anyways.” He said tiredly. “Tyler! Get Helen and have her get herself ready, and make sure our boys are in position, we have work to do. For the big day.”
---He chuckled darkly and set his feet on a settee. In the hallway, Banvora heard everything.
---What were they going to do to Sam and Hinaoki? He shook his head and quietly snuck away.
---Helen had been bragging about her killing the Crimson Lion and she earned a reputation for it, but, he couldn’t let them hurt Sam, he needed to do something, he didn’t know what, but it had to be something.
---He locked himself in his room and thought back on the day he first met his brother. It had been at Warehouse 15 and Sam had held a knife to his throat, he was a monster, worse, a murderer, who loved it. But Sam was still his younger brother, he had to help him, no matter what, he had to help Sam. Question now was, how was he going to do that?
---He sat down and looked out his window, and knew what it was he had to do. He never thought of doing anything like it before, but he supposed there was a first time for everything.
---“Well sorry papa, but it looks like I’m gonna have to disappoint you for the last time.”

Arkwright City/Industrial District

---Sam stood near the ruins of the currency exchange, where his last mission with Regulus was. He remembered it so clearly, Regulus was very patient with him, always patient, and he always looked out for him. He could see him in his minds eye. His tall lean form, his black tussled hair, his gray eyes that seemed to look right into you. Sam turned and remembered his first hand to hand lesson with Regulus.
---‘“Keep your hands up, and always keep your blade straight, thrust swiftly but firmly, and use your shoulder muscles.”’ They spent hours sparing, here, among these ruins and rubble.
---He looked over to the far side where he’d park his jeep. It had been here that he had made his second kill, and it had been Regulus who’d been there to watch and make sure it was done right.
---He sat and took out one of his dangers, twirling it in his hand.
---Helen Grieves, that was the name of his killer, and he honed his skills, just to be able to kill her. He pocketed the dagger he had and walked to the jeep and drove off along the back roads that were still drivable. He was going to get married, and he knew that Bolvin was going to do something, and when he did he was going to be ready.
---He pulled the jeep into the compound parking garage and sat there for a minute contemplating what was going to be going down. He was going to be married to a guy he liked well enough at least Sky has made him fell... different in a way, but Bolvin was no doubt going to use him in some fashion.
---‘Always expect the dishonest to be dishonest. A dishonest man is the easiest to predict.’ Regulus had said.
---So Sam knew, Bolvin was going to pull something, maybe an assassination, or perhaps a take over. He got out of his jeep and walked to the main house, two days, and he’d be married. If only Regulus could have be here, if only...

Arkwright City/Courthouse of Realphobia

---Sam adjusted his tuxedo again for the fifth time since he put it on. Tim chuckled as he adjusted Sam’s tie.
---“Your fine, stop messing with your suit!” Tim said to Sam putting a hand on his shoulder.
---“I know, I know... I’m just extremely nervous...” He said back shrugging off his friends hand.
---Tim sighed and stood in front of Sam and crossed his arms. “Your the son of a Queen, you’ve stared death in the eyes and now ride him like a horse! And your scared of a few words and then rings?” He said raising an eyebrow.
---He chuckled and turned as he heard the door open, and his mother stood in the doorway, a bottle of beer in her right hand and a smug grin on her face. She walked over and stared at her son.
---“So my boy is finally getting married to Skylar?” She said in a drunk tone that he could tell was fake.
---“Are you... proud of me?” Sam asked turning around to look at the mirror again. Staring at his reflection.
---His mother smiled and walked over to him and put her hands on his shoulder. “You could say that.”
---He looked down a bit sad, he was hoping his mother, of all people who would be.
---Sam gulped as he stared at the door to the courtroom. His soon to be husband was on the other side of that door. This was so much to take in at once, plus it didn’t help that his mother kept bugging him to be careful. He already knew this could be a trap, but he didn’t know what to think anymore.
---“Come on, it’s time.” Tim said into his ear and he nodded. As he gripped the door and slowly pushed them open.
---“You may now exchange the rings.” The Judge said smiling and opening his arms. Sam nodded and grabbed the ring that Tim had been holding for him and put it on Skylar’s hand. Skylar did the same and the Priest smiled.
---“You may now kiss the Groom.” He said and both Sam and Skylar kissed as the celebration commenced...

Arkwright City/Oki Family Compound

---After the wedding party, Sam and Skylar spent there honeymoon in the Oki compound as agreed upon by Both Oki and Vincent.
---The high walls and barbwire fences were a forewarned sight to Tyler Bolvin and his men. He looked at his watch. Any minute now Skylar would be putting Sam under and with Oki’s star killer out like a light it would be relevantly easy to deal with the rest of them.
---He unhooked the hand set from his vest and turned it on. “Micheal your almost finished, right?” He said, with a touch of impatience and fear, into the hand set. He was already feeling antsy if even one thing went wrong the whole operation would be blown.
---“Keep your pants on I’m already done powers ready to go out now.” Micheal's voice said from the hand set. Tyler gave an inward sigh and motioned for the men to take their positions.
---“And....now.” The lights that illuminated the gates died, cameras and all the lights in the mansion went out. He waved his arms at the gate, running forward his Kalashnikov bouncing as he moved. A pickup truck backed up towards the gate while men fastened chains to the gate, then fastened them to the truck.
---“Go!” He shouted waving his arms at the driver. The truck sped forward, the gate let out a groan and screeched in protest as it was viciously yanked from it’s hinges.
---The truck dragged the gate along the driveway with a scream and clatter of metal. “Move, move, move!” Tyler shouted to his men as they swarmed through the gates of the compound like a heard of buffalo. They swarmed up the courtyard and into the house.
---“Remember get the Oki bitch dead or alive just get her!”

---Kristy sat in at her desk in the dark smiling to herself. They were falling right into her hands...
---She got up and walked to her cabinet with all her weapons and choice explosives. She knew her office so well she didn’t have to see to find her way around it. She grabbed her shotgun and her assault riffle with some grenades.
---She put her ear to the door and listened, footsteps and yells from down the hall, so they were just down the hall. She smiled that shark-like grin and stepped away from the door. She loaded her guns and waited, feeling the usual rush of adrenaline serge through her system.
---The door banged open and the room was flooded with light from their flashlights, she smiled at them, “Hello boys!” She pulled the trigger of her shotgun blasting the poor fools in the doorway. She fired again and again till she was certain that they were dead.
---“Sorry boys, nothing personal.” She stepped into the hallway and turned on her radio.
---“Timothy! it’s time to play.” She said in a rather sweet, but evil, way. The whole house erupted with gun fire and the crash of shattered windows and broken doors.

---The Dragon walked into Colin’s room and took our a instant sober patch, one the few left in the world. He slapped it on the drunk’s neck and braced himself for what was going to come next. Colin’s eyes flew open sober, and as sharp as knives and just as deadly. He bolted from the chair and had Tim against the wall a firm and deadly grip on his neck.
---“You shouldn't’ have sobered me up, now where’s my booze?” The Drunk Romantic said angrily as the Dragon sucked in as much air as he could as he said, “If you wish to drink yourself to oblivion that’s fine, but your needed. We’re forcing the intruders into the main ballroom show them the Okihara hospitality and you can have all the booze you want.” The razor-like gaze seeming to pierce him straight to the very bone.
---“Fine I’ll give them a five-star welcome, but if you don’t keep your end of the bargain I’ll have your head.” He said before letting the Dragon go and leaving the room. Tim gulped down air and watched the door for a second before taking out his radio. “The Drunk Romantic is on the move.”

---Tim and his men forced the Bolvin men into the Ballroom and closed all the door locking them in, from a terrace above the ballroom Colin looked down on them with contempt. These mangy gabble of men were nothing like the maid men of old when he was younger. One of them noticed him and pointed up at him.

---“Welcome all of you esteemed guest to the Hinaoki compound! Sadly your stay will have to be... cut short.” He said his sharp eyes seizing them up like a carpenter judging a piece of wood.
---“And just who the hell are you?” Shouted one the men from below.
---Colin smiled at them and leaped down landing nimbly in-front of the man in question, “You want to know who I am?” He reached into his jacket and took out his sickle, and with a single sweep of his arm took off the mans head. He leaped high again and pressed a button on the hilt of his sickle that extended the chain. He swirled the chain and sickle like a deadly fan and swung out at the poor fools who thought they were any match for the Oki family. He easily decapitated several of them before the fools even thought of firing on him. He moved amongst the shadows popping out with his sickle hacking off limbs and heads. They were firing wildly in all directions trying to hit him. He retracted his sickled chain and put it back into his coat. From his waist he took out a pair of iron nunchucks. He ran right into the midst of them swinging his nunchucks delivering deadly blows to their heads and chests. They scattered liked mice when they found him killing them right in the midst of their tight formation. They were scattering like little mice in a field. He replaced one of his nunchucks to take out a old fashion Colt .45. He shot them down one by one like shooting fish in a barrel. The last man there got on his knees and begged piteously for his life.
---He pointed the long cold iron of his barrel right in the pleading man’s face. “I am the Drunk Romantic.” He pulled the trigger the boom resounding through the halls of the compound.

---The Nazi General, also known as Tyler, found himself cornered with a hand full of men in the rear of the compound in the illustrious Hinaoki gardens. Not quite so illustrious now, but still even with all the battle and carnage they were still quite a sight to see.
---He called for reinforcements and had suggested that they retreat, however Vincent wasn’t in the same opinion, his exact orders ‘were to hold them off till reinforcements arrived.’ A grenade went off to his right sending him flying in a shower of gravel and dust. He tried to suck in air into his lungs but found himself thoroughly winded.
---“Yeah, hold them off.” He crawled and took shelter behind a fountain. “Sure I’ll hold them off from behind here.”
---Meanwhile the battle was still raging around him as the Bolvin and Oki forces battled it out in the gardens.
---Tyler was wondering if he could make a clean getaway to the gates or previous gates and simply wait for reinforcement outside the compound. When he heard a sudden change in the battle. The other side had stopped firring he could hardly here their gun fire. except for some gunfire. He peeked his head over the fountain rim and saw with astonishment that his men were running away from the Oki forces. He almost got up to order them to turn back when he noticed a loan figure firing on them. His blood froze in his veins, walking towards him and his retreating men was Sam! He felt his his blood drain from his face and his legs turn to jello he turned around and ran for his life with the rest of his men.

---Sam sighted down the barrels of his pistols, letting off well aimed shots that reached their targets. Skylar had done a okay job at trying to drug him but he wasn’t quite smooth enough to tranquilyze him without him noticing. So he tranqylzed Skylar instead and now went about the business of pest control. The Bolvin forces had scattered the moment they saw him coming which made things easier for him. He simply contented himself with picking them off as they ran for the gates. He hoped that this would finally be the thing that would let it sink into Bolvins head that they were not to be fucked with. He passed the fountain when he felt a prick in the back of his mind and dropped to his knees. The statue in the center of the fountain lost it’s head with a shower of dust and marble. He spun on his knees and fired with his guns in the direction of the shot. Two more bullets flew towards him almost hitting him. He summer-salted forward and crawled under the hedges using them to conceal his movements. The shooter was in one of the windows in the second floor. He reloaded his pistols and crawled along the underbrush moving into a position to fire at the shooter.

---Helen Grieves, the Royal Sniper, cursed as she missed Sam. She quickly got up and moved to another position to fire at him at. She couldn’t take any chances with him. After all Regulus had been his friend and handler, no doubt Regulus had taught him a thing or two. She smiled peering through her scope looking for him. Hadn’t she been the one to kill the great Crimson Lion? Well she had, and if she could kill him then she couldn’t kill this little abomination as well. Although he wasn’t quite so little any more but still she’d kill him and put another notch under her belt. She scanned slowly from left to right looking for him. She saw a flash out the Corner of her eye and ducked as a volley of bullets shattered the window where she had been. She cursed and rolled away from the window, she’d have to face him down there if she wanted a decent chance. She switched her weapon over to automatic and ran downstairs leaping whole flights to get down there as fast as she could. At the bottom of the staircase she rounded a corner and was met with gunfire. She rolled to the side hiding behind a upturned table and blind fired over the top of the table. Bullets splintered through the wood above her head, She peeked her head out and was rewarded by more bullets whizzing by.
---“Well I see your good with those things, did Regulus teach you that?” She taunted the Pale Death reloading a fresh clip into her rifle
---“Actually, he did.” Sam replied before firing again at the table steadily moving closer.
---Helen fired around the side of the table to ward him off. “Is that right? Well then I'll bag you like i bagged him.”
---The last statement was followed by a barrage of gun fire from him. She cursed and laid practically flat on her back to avoid the bullets. She emptied her last round at him hoping he would run out soon. He fired at her turning the table into the likeness of Swiss cheese. She peeped through one of the holes and saw that he was out he had just checked for more clips and when none were to be found he quickly holstered both pistols. She brought her leg up to her chest and snatched the knife she hid there and leaped to her feet charging him full on. Sam saw her coming and drew his bowie knife from it’s sheath hidden up his sleeve, she struck out aiming for his throat, he stopped her blade with his and forced it back away from him. She swung her leg at his legs to sweep them out from under him. While bringing her blade around in a dangerous arch. He leaped over her leg and caught her wrist. The two of them might have been matched in a gunfight but with knives up and close this was his game and she was going to have to play it or die.

Sam, you didn't have to mass bump all the other threads. So please refrain from doing so unless there is a point to the bump.

It's alright, Sam. You'd have to re-bump every time you post a new chapter and that wouldn't be very efficient. Why have you locked the threads?
