Realphobistan, Junk Yard, Kingdom of Realphobia

This small town was one of 34 towns in the Kingdom named Realphobistan, and probably the worst of them. Life in the Junk Yard was hard in the 80s. The place was overpopulated, no fertile land. There was only one resource here, scrap metal. Demand was rock bottom ever since CH Steel's plant in the area was blown up. NecroTech closed down their plastic recycling centers 'for safety' too, so shit went downhill.

It got from bad to worse. Insurgency spread all over the Junk Yard, shooting at government troops and cops with Soviet weapons. The mafia got more violent in Realphobistan, and now there's two of them.

The recession and all the other shit that's happened here killed the budget sheets of law enforcement. There hasn't been a cop other than the sheriff in these parts for a long time. Everyone keeps hoping stuff will get better, but it really won't, at least if you ask me.

The sun rises over this tinbucket, and for the first time, the townspeople actually have to lynch people for being Mafia.

Ed's right this is no time for discrimination against one another. I think all these accusations are as ridiculous as they are biased. We need to find the killer, but accusing one another is simply madness and will only lead us to helping the Mafioso bastards by killing ourselves!

I dunno yet, honestly...I'm not ready to point fingers at people when I don't have sufficient evidence towards any of them. But I acknowledge the fact that we are in danger.

Central Police Station, Nikku, Junk Yard, Kingdom of Realphobia

Deputy Andrews picked up the phone, a donation courtesy of Banhammer Industries... 20 years ago. It was newer than everything else in this office other than his suit and very shiny gun, handmade in Carhoppa... by Asians. You see, he liked making himself richer with his power. A few years back, when there was still cars in Nikku, lines of them could be seen on the edge of the road, waiting for an officer to take their ticket.

Now, cars are rare in that piece of shit ever since the third crash of the stick market. The only people he knew who still had any were himself and his Law Attorney from Tarsonis. Right, that Oblivionite army captain too. He hung up the phone. His expression changed to a frown as he walked back through the cracked doors into his office. Closing the door, he sat in his second-hand leather chair and rubbed his head.

"Bitches gonna regret it." he mumbled before drinking the imported coffee only a well regarded Police chief like himself was entitled to in these parts.

The lynch tree hasn't been used in these parts for a month, but that was when they lynched a 12 year old boy from a nearby slum for stealing bread. It's never been used on a resident though, at least not in the past decade.

The citizens watched that uke Saiteiru hang from a tree, still as a rock. The mob was quiet for maybe 17 seconds before raising their torches again and marching to his house. Breaking in, they searched it thoroughly.

Bitches did regret it. Among the items found, a badge, gun from the 40s, and paychecks from Andrew's office, the last one dating back at least a year. They'd lynched their undercover sheriff.

On another note, they also picked up something else. Saiteiru's will- A bunch of earthbound trinkets left on one of the tables. Written in ink on the back was the word Kristy.

How cute.

The citizens dropped their torches and slumped slowly back to their homes, knowing who they just killed. It was up to Hina whether or not she wanted to mourn, but there was a general feeling she didn't.

The sun set over Realphobistan and Nikku. Andrews completely forgot about Saiteiru as he drove back to his comfortable home among the tin shacks. Tonight, the mafia comes out, and they kill someone. They kill someone good.

CaR_HoPPeR awoke after admiring the size of his Asian-African... well, you know what. He went downstairs for a midnight snack. Opening his cabinets, he felt a sharp pain in his back. Then again, and again. He fell to the floor, knowing he was still being stabbed, but he didn't feel it anymore. Then, everything went dark in a pool of blood.

6:30 AM, February 3, 1988
Realphobistan, Junk Yard, Kingdom of Realphobia

The town of Realphobistan rises and shines. Gort, the only one with an alarm clock decides to press snooze more than once, meaning work comes a few minutes late today. People get to work in the scrapyards, while TS tends his shop.

An hour after noon, people came back after a hard day's work. They gathered in the square, prepared to hold their town meeting over a nice lunch. On her way there, NeoDrac54 tripped over bleeding, dead asian. She got back up. Just a de-... wait, what was that?

The town knew about it in minutes. They got together, searching CaR's house. Aside from finding enough guns to cap all yo bruddahs and plenty of lube, they didn't find anything suspicious, leading them to believe CaR was just a townie.

Now, it looks like the town has to lynch someone again. At least this time it can't be the Sheriff.
